Past. Present. Progress – Celebrating Black History Month
This October, Projects will host Past. Present. Progress - a full-day celebration of Black History Month. We’ll be bringing people together to honour Black heritage, reflect on lived experiences and spotlight progress still to be made.
Provisional agenda:
8:30 - 10:30 | Networking breakfast – a chance to meet and connect with local Black-owned businesses, professionals and allies
11:00 - 11:45 | Talk: Let’s talk about anti-Black racism – Bud Johnston explores why the racism Black people face requires its own story
12:30 - 13:30 | Short film feature – in collaboration with local creative Mickey
