Past. Present. Progress – Celebrating Black History Month has been rescheduled to Friday 21st November.


Originally planned for October, this full-day celebration will bring people together to honour Black heritage, reflect on lived experiences, and spotlight the progress still to be made. The event will run exactly as originally planned – same sessions, same speakers, same celebration.


Agenda:

  • 9:00 - 11:00 | Networking breakfast - a chance to meet and connect with local Black-owned businesses, professionals and allies

  • 11:30 - 12:00 | Talk: Let’s talk about anti-Black racism - Bud Johnston explores why the racism Black people face requires its own story

  • 12:30 - 13:30 | Short film feature - in collaboration with local creative Mickey
