At Projects, we believe in the power of community - not just within our coworking spaces, but beyond them too. Each year, we partner with charities whose work reflects the needs of our local communities and the values we care deeply about.
For 2026, we’re proud to announce our charity partnerships with Justlife and Survivors' Network - two Brighton- and Sussex-based organisations doing vital, frontline work to support people through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Who Are Our Charity Partners?
At Projects Ship Street, we’re delighted to support Justlife, a Brighton-based charity working with people living in Temporary Accommodation - a form of homelessness that is often hidden but increasingly common.
While homelessness is often associated with rough sleeping, many people in Brighton are living in insecure, unsuitable temporary housing, sometimes for months or even years. This can take a serious toll on physical health, mental wellbeing and connection to community.
Justlife works alongside people living in Temporary Accommodation to make their experience shorter, safer and healthier. Through their Health Engagement Project, they help people access healthcare, attend appointments and manage long-term conditions. Their Social Connection Project tackles isolation by helping people rebuild confidence, relationships and a sense of belonging. Justlife also provides specialist, trauma-informed support for women, many of whom have experienced abuse or unsafe housing.

“We’re really proud to be partnering with Projects in 2026. Too many people in Brighton are living in homeless Temporary Accommodation that is unsafe, isolating and damaging to their health. Our work is about standing alongside people through that experience, helping them access the care, stability and support they deserve. Partnerships like this matter because they help us reach more people, strengthen our services, and keep pushing for a system where no one is left stuck in unsuitable housing.” - Simon Gale, CEO of Justlife
At Projects Nile House, we’re honoured to partner with Survivors’ Network, Sussex’s specialist rape crisis centre supporting people affected by sexual violence and abuse.
For many survivors, the impact of these experiences isn’t always visible - and seeking support can feel daunting.
Survivors’ Network exists to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where people are listened to, believed and supported, whatever their age, gender, or when the experience happened.
Survivors’ Network supports survivors of all genders and all ages, offering help at every stage of someone’s journey. Some people reach out shortly after an experience, while others come months or years later. Support is always survivor-led, based on choice, care and empowerment.
Across Sussex, Survivors’ Network offers a range of trauma-informed services, including helpline and email support, counselling, specialist advocacy through the criminal justice system, and group activities that help rebuild confidence and connection.

Being the Charity Partner for Projects at Nile House means a great deal to us at Survivors’ Network. Collaborations like this remind us that survivors are not alone; they are surrounded by a community willing to stand alongside them, amplify their voices, and support meaningful change. - Lucy May, Learning, Community and Engagement Officer at Survivors' Network
Supporting Our Charity Partners in 2026
We’re incredibly proud to support the work of Justlife and Survivors’ Network this year. Both organisations provide essential services - whether that’s practical, health-focused support for people experiencing housing insecurity, or trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
Their work reminds us that meaningful change happens through consistency, compassion and community.
Throughout 2026, there will be plenty of ways for our community to support both charities - from fundraising events and campaigns to volunteering opportunities and awareness-building initiatives.
We’ll be sharing more details soon on how you can get involved and help make a meaningful difference.
