If you’ve been a longstanding member of Projects, you’ll know that on Tuesdays, Ship Street is the place to be.

Breakfast at Ship Street has seen many iterations over the years, but has stayed one of our most popular events and for good reason. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new members as well as touch base with old faces, so we always recommend our members stop by.

For last week’s extra special Breakfast we had Wilf from @redroastercoffee come in to make our members their coffee of choice, included in the breakfast!

We teamed up with @roxlife_uk for a Projects takeover of their signature boxing class, led by the incredible @alex__boito

Safe to say he put us through our paces, but we left feeling energised, and ready to take on the day

Supporting our local communities is at the heart of what we do at Projects. We believe in building genuine, long-term partnerships that go beyond one-off volunteering days - partnerships that start by asking, ‘What do you actually need?’

At Projects, we know that meaningful support goes beyond a single day of volunteering. It’s about building lasting connections and offering practical, impactful help where it’s needed most. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

Nile House partners with YMCA DownsLink Group, supporting young people facing homelessness, poor mental health, and other challenges. We’ve offered donations, community introductions, and mentorship to help them build brighter futures.
Ship Street supports Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline, a vital service for LGBTQ+ people across the UK. Together, we’ve run fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and created spaces for open dialogue and support.

We’re also proud to be working with BHT Sussex, supporting their Work Placement Programme, which helps people who have experienced homelessness regain stability through meaningful work opportunities.
