We’re excited to introduce something a little different to your Fridays. Starting this month, join us for Friday Film Club - a new monthly event series hosted by our Ambassador of Creative Art and Culture, Mickey.
Each session will take place during lunch in The Globe, featuring a short film carefully chosen around a timely theme or cultural moment. Expect thought-provoking storytelling, space to reflect, and a chance to connect with the world - and each other - in a different way.
Scroll on to hear from Mickey and find out more about this month’s powerful theme, curated in honour of World Refugee Day.

Hey everyone!
As Ambassador of Creative Art and Culture here at Projects I’m excited to be starting a monthly Lunchtime Film Club in The Globe 🌍
Each month, I’ll be screening a short film - either documentary or fiction - curated around a theme that reflects the current month, cultural moment, or relevant topic. The screenings will take place during lunchtime to fit around your working day and offer a creative, bite-sized break.
Can’t wait to see you there and share some thoughtful pause for important topics.

This Month’s Theme:
World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It falls each year on 20 June and shines a light on the rights, needs and dreams of those forced to flee.
Mickey’s Thoughts:
“Despite this documentary being made in 2015, the refugee crisis remains as urgent and heartbreaking now as it was then - and as it has been throughout history. What it is important about this short is how it humanises a crisis that’s often spoken about in statistics and headlines. In just 20 minutes, it manages to hold space for grief, endurance, and the reality of what it means to be a refugee. It reminds us that stories like these aren’t just about “refugees”- they’re about people: families, children, hopes, futures and the destructive nature intolerance has on any person fleeing their home for safety."
